Dr. John K. Hong

Dr. Hong was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.  He traveled east to complete his undergraduate studies at Cornell University in New York followed by medical school at Tufts University in Boston. After a general surgery internship, he underwent a residency in anesthesiology at Rush University in Chicago followed by a fellowship in pain management at the University of Illinois.
 
Dr. Hong is the Founder and President of Parkview Pain & Regenerative Institute, with offices in Park City and Salt Lake City. Previously, for over 17 years, Dr. Hong founded and directed a highly regarded interventional pain management practice with multiple locations throughout Chicago.  During this time, he successfully treated tens of thousands of patients and established a reputation of excellence in the community and among his peers.  He also served as director of pain management for a major Chicago Hospital.  Dr. Hong has lectured extensively to the community and trained and mentored numerous other pain physicians and advanced practitioners.

In addition, Dr. Hong is the Chief Medical Officer of Radiant Pain Relief Centres, an expanding, nationwide network of clinics at the forefront of delivering non-invasive electrocutaneous therapies for chronic pain.  
​
In all his roles, Dr. Hong strives to provide compassionate, individualized, evidence and team based care. His goal is to reduce pain and maximize functioning with a wide range of appropriate treatments, including regenerative and advanced interventional procedures including endoscopic spine surgery and spinal cord stimulation of which he has performed over 500 implants.  Dr. Hong believes everyone deserves to live life free of debilitating pain.

After living in Utah part time for several years, Dr. Hong relocated to Utah full time to continue his passion of providing relief to pain sufferers.  When not caring for patients, he enjoys traveling, mountain biking, downhill skiing, and hiking.

Dr. Hong is a member of the American Society of interventional Pain Physicians, International Pain and Spine Intervention Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, and the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience.
